Since we’ve made the move back, I’ve been purging old clothes and beauty products. It just feels so good to get rid of the stuff we never use and wear, ya know? Since then, I’ve been looking for versatile, natural (or as close as I can get) products. Here are a few of my favorites…

Best Natural Beauty Products

  1. Egyptian Magic Skin Cream: I’m not a huge fan of lotions because of the grease factor. The fragrances either linger a bit too long, or I’m stuck with greasy skin all day. This skin cream only contains six (all-natural) ingredients and keeps my skin hydrated all day long. The trick is to use it straight out of the shower while your skin is still damp and rub it in your hands before applying. Once it melts and takes on a watery consistency, you’re good to apply.
  2. Organic Moringa Oil: My friend Annie first turned me on to this miracle oil, and I’ve never looked back. It’s not too greasy or heavy for my face and it absorbs super quickly. It also works to heal blemishes and cuts.
  3. Rose Petal Witch Hazel: Need a great toner? This stuff is the bomb. Most witch hazel toner concoctions contain alcohol, which is very drying to the skin. Thayers is my personal favorite because it’s paraben-free and the only fragrance is from the actual rose petal itself.
  4. Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay: I’ve raved and raved about this stuff and it’s honestly the best face mask I’ve ever used. A word of caution, keep it far, far away from your eyes and eyebrows. It’s a beast to remove and once it starts pulsating, it can make the skin around your eyes tight and very uncomfortable.
  5. Apple Cider Vinegar: I use this in conjunction with the Healing Clay and it always gets the job done. In addition to using it as a nighttime toner (the scent lingers a bit too long for a daytime toner)
  6. Tea Tree Oil: Spot treatments generally don’t work on my skin, but tea tree oil always does the trick. You can use it for dandruff, drying out blemishes, bug bites… you name it. The scent kind of kept me away for a little while, but once you start to associate it with its magical healing powers, you’ll get used to it.
